Michael Short
Director
Michael Short is a Director in Lazard’s Technology Group, specializing in tech‑enabled services across HR and Human Capital Management, Professional Services, IT Services, and Facility Services.
He has significant experience advising private equity firms, their portfolio companies, founders, and large corporates on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and recapitalizations.
Prior to joining Lazard, Michael spent eight years in PwC’s assurance practice, advising privately held businesses across a wide range of industries.
Michael holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, as well as an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
