Jeffrey Chen
Managing Director
Jeff Chen is a Managing Director and senior member of the Industrials group at Lazard.
He co-leads its chemicals and materials practice and has more than 20 years of merger and acquisition experience in industrial products and services.
Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Chen was a Business Development Manager at 3M Company, where he was responsible for identifying and executing M&A opportunities and developing new growth strategies. Prior to 3M, he worked in the Energy and Power investment banking group at Merrill Lynch.
Earlier in his career, he served in entrepreneurial and operational roles. He was a Technical Director at Plug Power Inc., where he led the integration of acquired technologies and businesses and assisted in the company's initial public offering. Also, he worked as a Project Manager at Thermo Electron Corp. (now Thermo Fisher Scientific), where he helped spin out a new company.
Mr. Chen received a Master of Business Administration degree from MIT Sloan, a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Princeton University and Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
