Celebrating Lazard New Visions Academy Class of 2023

In early November, Lazard was pleased to welcome the 2023 Lazard New Visions Academy students back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza to celebrate their graduation from this year's Summer Institute. 

Funded by the Lazard Foundation, the Lazard New Visions Academy began in May 2021. It is an initiative that provides New York City public high school students in grades 11 and 12 from historically marginalized communities, the opportunity to gain vital knowledge, experience and relationships to set them on a path toward future professional careers.

In July, the Academy welcomed 363 students from 21 high schools located across all five New York City boroughs. Over the course of the five-week curriculum, students learned about issues from career readiness and financial literacy, to self-exploration and the basics of finance and investing.

The Summer Institute culminated with a capstone project in which students pitched and presented an M&A case study on whether they would advise a hypothetical M&A transaction to proceed.

Of the students that enrolled, 340 graduated, a 94% completion rate that demonstrates the intellect, discipline and immense potential of the students who are accepted into the program.

On November 1, the Lazard New Visions Academy Class of 2023 returned to 30 Rockefeller Plaza. They enjoyed lunch and spent the afternoon networking and catching up with the some of the 133 Lazard colleagues who donated time over the summer to engage with the students across a variety of topics, including both career-based and personal development subjects.
