Kathy Elsesser

Kathy Elsesser was appointed a Director of Lazard effective July 7, 2026.
Ms. Elsesser is an accomplished financial advisor with deep expertise advising chief executives, founders, entrepreneurs, and corporate boards on complex strategic transactions. She is former Global Chair of the Consumer Retail and Healthcare Groups in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, where she spent more than three decades before retiring from the Goldman Sachs Partnership in 2023 and then serving as a Senior Advisor to the firm through January 2025. Ms. Elsesser is a member of several corporate and non-profit organizations, including the Board of Directors of TPG, the global alternative asset management firm, and the Board of Trustees of Sesame Workshop, where she also chairs the Audit Committee.
Ms. Elsesser is a graduate of Boston College and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
