Addar Levi is Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Regulatory Affairs at Lazard, where she leads the company’s global litigation, regulatory, and compliance functions.

Before joining Lazard, Ms. Levi held several senior roles in government. From 2017 to 2021, Ms. Levi was the Acting General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, leading the 2,000+ attorneys of the Treasury Legal Division and counseling the Treasury Secretary and other senior Treasury officials on banking regulatory and enforcement matters, international economic and financial policy, investment security, sanctions, and tax policy.

Previously, Ms. Levi was General Counsel of President Obama's family office and foundation, serving as a member of the Executive Management Committee and overseeing all legal and compliance functions. Earlier in her career, she served in the White House Counsel's office and was a litigator in the Washington, D.C. office of Covington & Burling.

Ms. Levi is a member of the American Law Institute, and a non-resident senior fellow at Columbia Law School. She holds a B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
