Celebrating 175 Years of Lazard
July 12, 2023, marked the 175th anniversary of Lazard's founding. From our humble beginnings in 1848 as a New Orleans dry goods merchant, today Lazard is one of the world’s preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we present a short film, Lazard 175 Years, in which Kenneth M. Jacobs, Executive Chairman of Lazard, examines our history and reflects on the firm’s longevity and enduring spirit of evolution and innovation.
Lazard has also produced a special commemorative digital book, Lazard 175, that explores the firm’s rich heritage and honors the key leaders who helped to build the business into what it is today.
