John Goldasich is a Managing Director and senior member of the Consumer, Food & Retail group at Lazard. He brings more than 18 years of mergers and acquisitions and capital markets experience, serving clients across the franchising, restaurant, multi-unit and consumer services sector. Mr. Goldasich has worked with a wide range of closely held, founder-owned and sponsor-backed clients.

Representative transactions* include advising:

  • College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving on its recapitalization with Susquehanna Private Capital
  • Suite Management Franchising, the holding company of MySalon Suite and Salon Plaza, on its sale to Propelled Brands, a portfolio company of Freeman Spogli and Lightbay Capital
  • Wagamama and The Restaurant Group plc on its North American joint venture with CVC2
  • Velvet Taco on its sale to L Catterton
  • NRD Capital on its take private of Ruby Tuesday
  • Twin Peaks on its sale to Garnett Station Partners

Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Goldasich was a partner and Managing Director at Arlington Capital Advisors where he led the firm’s restaurant, consumer services and franchising practice. He also previously served in the Capital Markets group at AmSouth Bank (now Regions Securities). He serves on the board of the Alabama Golf Association and Fenwick Brands.

 

Mr. Goldasich graduated from Lipscomb University and received his master’s degree from the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
