Guillaume Ortiz
Director
Guillaume Ortiz is a Director in Lazard’s New York office and a senior member of the firm’s global Agribusiness and Nutrition practice. He has more than 11 years of investment banking experience across the agribusiness, nutrition and food sectors.
Mr. Ortiz advises companies on matters including mergers and acquisitions of all types, corporate strategy, shareholder activism, takeover defense, capital structure/allocation and capital raising, among other topics.
Within Agribusiness and Nutrition, Mr. Ortiz works with companies across the value chain, providing unique insights on broader industry and competitive dynamics. His areas of activity include crop inputs (e.g., plant genetics and seeds, commodity and specialty fertilizers, crop protection chemicals and plant health solutions), commodity trading and processing, retail distribution and cooperatives, machinery and equipment, animal health and nutrition, food ingredients, human nutrition, AgriFood technology and energy transition fuels, among others.
Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Ortiz worked in Rabobank’s M&A group in New York, where he most recently led the Farm Inputs M&A practice in North America. Over the course of his tenure at Rabobank, Mr. Ortiz worked with clients across the broader agribusiness, food and beverage value chain.
