Dennis K. Berman is a Managing Director in the firm’s Technology, Media, and Entertainment practice. He has a specialty in digital media and subscription-based business models, including as the author of Lazard’s widely followed Subscription Economics Report. He began his career at Lazard as a Managing Director in the firm’s Shareholder Advisory practice.

Dennis joined Lazard after 17 years at the Wall Street Journal, where most recently he served as its Financial Editor, overseeing the staff and coverage of finance and markets around the globe

Dennis sits on the Board of Advisors of the Long-Term Stock Exchange, the Foundation Board of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, and the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Governors’ Scholars Program.

He holds a magna cum laude History degree, with Honors, from the University of Pennsylvania, is a Financial Leadership Fellow of the Aspen Institute and is a Kentucky Colonel.
