Sean Daugherty is a Managing Director and member of the Consumer, Food & Retail group at Lazard Middle Market. He has more than 14 years experience serving as an advisor to public and private companies on a range of mergers and acquisitions, and capital structure decisions with substantial experience in sell-side strategy and process design - having consummated over 40 such transactions. Mr. Daugherty has developed a broad perspective working with clients in branded consumer products and food, with a particular focus on iconic American brands, juvenile products, and luxury goods (including beer, wine & spirits).

Representative transactions include advising:

  • PLZ AeroscienceCorporation, a portfolio company of Olympus Partners, on its sale to Pritzker Group Private Capital
  • KidKraft on its sale to MidOcean Partners
  • Brunswick Corp. (NYSE:BC) on certain strategic matters resulting in the divestitures of Hatteras Yachts and its Bowling Products Division
  • Saxx Underwear Co. on securing a minority investment from Brentwood Associates

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Daugherty was with Merrill Lynch & Co.

Mr. Daugherty graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and also completed an International Business and Trade program at the American University in Washington D.C. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In 2015, he was honored with the “40 Under 40 Dealmaker” award by M&A Advisor.
