Lazard Asset Management (LAM) offers a range of internal and external sales
and marketing roles. Whether interfacing with clients internally or externally,
all of these roles contribute to effectively position Lazard in the marketplace.
Central Marketing Services
Central Marketing Services (CMS) is responsible for supporting LAM’s sales and marketing
efforts around the globe. The department handles all marketing communications, encompassing
consultant databases, requests for proposals, pitch books, and other collateral
designed to sell and service the firm's investment strategies. CMS also includes
the functions of marketing data, investment writing, and creative services. As central
resources, CMS professionals interact with different areas of the Firm, including
Investment Management, Operations and Finance, Human Resources and Legal and Compliance.
Sales
Sales roles within LAM focus on the sales and marketing effort for Lazard’s financial
products. Incumbents for these positions are typically dedicated to a specific channel
and coordinate closely with other sales and marketing professionals within the Firm
to generate new business and to service existing clients. Sales channels include
Financial Institutions, Capital Advisory and Institutional Marketing. Our Sales
Professionals work closely with LAM’s Investment Professionals to effectively position
their products in the marketplace. They also provide investment related services
to investors by interacting with investment teams and other areas of marketing.
Client Servicing
This role oversees the production of all new business and client service
presentation materials. The Client Service Associate has direct interaction as the
point of contact for client and consultant inquiries and works directly with the
sales representatives. The CSA works closely with external Sales Professionals to
support the goals and objectives of the respective business channel by servicing
existing clients. The longer-term goal for this role is to get involved with Senior
Sales Professionals to help them generate new business for the organization. This
may include actively meeting with and supporting LAM’s interests with both clients
and prospects.
