throughout the U.S. and Europe. Our hiring is done regionally, therefore
opportunities and training and development vary by location.
Summer Intern Research Analysts
Lazard Asset Management (LAM) hires qualified Summer Intern Research
Analysts for its offices in New York. Summer Research Analysts,
are given the opportunity to contribute alongside seasoned investment
professionals for 10-12 weeks, during the summer.
Teamwork is the foundation of Lazard Asset Management. As a Research
Analyst, our team approach will allow you to benefit from the insight
of your peers. Lazard's exceptional team of global research analysts
drives the Firm's investment process. All members of Lazard's global
research platform, as well as Portfolio Managers/Analysts, produce
investment ideas and contribute to the process.
As a Summer Research Analyst at Lazard, your day-to-day activities
will include financial analysis and modeling, the recommendation
of investments to Portfolio Managers, and frequent interaction with
senior management of companies being analyzed. You will work as
part of an industry-based global sector team, or as part of a product
management team.
A career at LAM begins after earning an MBA or other advanced degree.
Summer Research Analysts are ordinarily between their first and
second year of business school. Qualified candidates are likely
to have previous experience in the field of finance, or several
years of industry experience.
To be a successful Research Analyst, you will be inquisitive, driven
by understanding the strengths and objectives of companies and their
management teams, and determined to provide Portfolio Managers with
the highest level of research and insight to maximize returns for
our clients. You will thrive in a culture that values initiative
and creativity.
Training and Development
Your training at Lazard Asset Management will be on the job. You
will be coached by senior colleagues who will ensure that you learn
the theory of our bottom up value creation methodology and put it
into practice quickly. You will be expected to assimilate market
data quickly, to develop an analytical and probing approach to companies
and their management teams, and to build global valuation models.
